Append-only audit log
The record of every tool invocation, approval and denial. A tenant's admins can read it in full and the system can add to it; xFalcon exposes no way to edit or delete an entry once it is written.

Argument-bound approval
A standing approval that applies only to the exact argument values it was granted for. Approving a tool call once does not approve the same tool with different values; a changed argument asks again.
Ask by default
The starting permission for every connected tool. A call pauses the run, waits for a human decision, records who approved it and when, and does not resume without it. Allow and deny are choices an admin makes.
AutoExplore
A deep investigation you launch. It presents a plan and waits for your go-ahead, then runs 20-30 iterations of hypothesis and test, needing two confirming queries from different angles before anything counts as a finding.
Feasibility matrix
The week-one verdict on each dashboard you asked for, scored against the data you have: READY, PARTIAL, LIMITED or BLOCKED, with the gaps named and a build estimate attached.
Governed definition
A metric formula or global filter written down once, signed off by a named owner, and assembled into the context before any query is written, so every question anyone asks inherits the same meaning of the term.
Join graph
The map of how your tables relate, assembled from five sources of evidence: declared foreign keys, your own query history, schema-pack matching, SQL scanning and column heuristics. Every edge is scored for confidence; only declared keys are auto-confirmed.
MCP (Model Context Protocol)
The open standard xFalcon speaks in both directions. It hosts an MCP server with 15 governed tools that Claude Desktop or any MCP client can call, and it calls the MCP servers you connect, behind approval.
Point-in-time reconstruction
Asking what a metric or definition meant as of a past date. Earlier versions are kept, so you can see the wording that applied last quarter.
Query ID
The identifier attached to every answer. It resolves to the exact SQL that ran, the tables and columns it touched, the question that produced it and the annotations that applied, so you can check the number.
Read-only by construction
Access that cannot write. INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, DROP and ten other write patterns are rejected in the query path, before a query reaches your database, which enforces read-only access.
Schema pack
A set of rules that recognizes common table structures, such as Shopify or Stripe data already in your warehouse, and suggests relationships. Importing data from those products requires a separate integration.
